Welcome to #THERAPUTICTHURSDAYS!
I’m super excited to finally be sharing my review of not one but two KOKO Couture clip-in hair extension sets! I promised you guys this a few weeks ago and due to a family tragedy, I was pre-occupied and far too emotional to even attempt to write the upbeat review this brand deserves. Though not fully recovered (which I doubt I’ll ever be), I am starting to feel a bit more human and today I finally felt like dressing up, or at least dressing my hair up!
Before I unleash the transformations, I just want to give you a little insight to the brand and the products I received. Based in Manchester, KOKO Couture strives to provide “the latest in women’s clothing and accessories without the hefty price tag”. They run great social media campaigns and work with a wide range of UK bloggers, so I was delighted when they got in touch and asked to be featured on Make Me Up Marie. Shortly after passing over my details to the PR team, I received two sets of hair extensions in my exact colour, #1B Natural Black. The first was Kylie 3 Weft Beach Waves and and the second Candice 5 Weft Loose Wave Curls.
I filmed the whole thing on Snapchat with a view to include my initial reaction and unboxing here, but like an idiot I totally forgot to save my story! Anyway, I’ve got a good enough memory to run you through. Both sets arrived in your typical hair extensions packaging – long cardboard boxes with ties to hold the hair together and in place. The hair was protected by netting rather than plastic, which I like (the plastic is always bad quality and breaks. The netting is actually useful). The wefts were thick and the clips were strong and clearly well sewn in. I couldn’t wait to get them in!
KOKO Couture hair extensions are super affordable, yet amazing quality. The Kylie 3 Weft Beach Wave costs £19.99 and the Candice 5 Weft Loose Curls come in at just £21.99. The hair is synthetic but looks natural and is comfortable to wear. It’s also heat resistant and washable, so you can restyle and replenish whenever you please. I love the fact that they’re designed in the UK and will certainly be investing a ponytail piece and secret scrunchie to complete my collection soon!
What do you think ladies? Are you a fan of KOKO Couture? Do you like the look of any of these products?
